ABOUT THE ROLE
The role requires an experienced flooding and water technical professional who is looking for the next step to drive and grow a team while fostering client relationships.
You are a leader who has commercial acumen and technical knowledge to share with a passionate and driven team. This role will be part of a national team that is growing and at a stage of development that will embrace effective and professional leadership.
You will be responsible for:
- Contributing to flooding and drainage packages for major road, rail and metro infrastructure projects including flooding and water input into detailed design, communicating with clients and stakeholders.
- Technical delivery of disaster recovery projects, flood studies, risk management plans, evacuation management and impact assessments.
- Reviewing work of others and technical support to junior staff
ABOUT YOU
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Approximately 8+ years’ experience
- Passionate and driven team focused on flooding and water solutions
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling packages, such as RORB, XP-RAFTS, URBS, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS.
- Experience using 12d, DRAINS and MUSIC will also be highly considered.
- Technical understanding of the principles and approaches of ARR2019 and of relevant local and state flooding legislation and policy and approval pathways.
- Capable of performing detailed design reviews.
- Experienced in cross-drainage design principals, flood mitigation and management for major infrastructure projects, will be highly favoured.
